In the documentation and product brochures, it states the SG 300 switches supports jumbo frames up to 10k. When I first setup the switch and enabled jumbo frames, i was getting very slow speeds in my network transfers (800kb/s !!!). Nov 08, 2011 · I have never used jumbo framesbefore but I though changing the MTU to 9000 from 1500 was suppose to make"large" data transfer quicker. I enabled jumbo frames on our production switches and performance was the same to taking an extra 15 seconds + to copy the same data.
