Aug 04, 2008 · For some reason, when you change the mySQL root's password in phpMyAdmin, the password is correctly changed in the mySQL server, but the new password is not updated to the config.inc.php file (phpMyAdmin's configuration file, read every time you start phpMyAdmin).
