Nov 11, 2012 · I have read that the ratio of combat to support troops during WW2 was 12 support soldier to one combat soldier. It was later improved to 8 to 1, support/combat. Is this an accurate figure? I tend to believe the support number may even be higher. Any idea what it is today?
