Commissioning support units were established in April 2013 from the remains of the Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities as part of the reorganisation of the National Health Service in England following the Health and Social Care Act 2012.. Nov 19, 2012 · The NHS Commissioning Board has published a list of the managing directors of commissioning support units (CSUs), which will provide support services to most clinical commissioning groups. We don’t yet know exactly which CCGs will be using CSUs, but there is enough information to put them on a map, along with their managing directors and email addresses.
