I've also tried compiling my own copy of sasl and pointing to it, but I'm not sure which version to use and that didn't work either. If I configure without LDAP, everything works fine. I desparately need to get this going as we aren't going to be able to use PHP without LDAP support and we have deadlines approaching quickly.
