Sep 29, 2018 · As Paul mentioned, noone has bothered testing VST support yet, and in general Ardour 3 is not ready for testing except by the developers. Unless you are planning on coding the VST support yourself, in which case you should be more aware of how waf works in general to tell the truth, my answer stands at “You Don’t”.

At this time, you cannot run VST plugins in Ardour on OS X or Linux x86_64 platforms. Note that if you use your x86_64 system in 32 bit mode, that counts as x86, and things will work as expected. Aug 16, 2015 · So, caveat emptor, YMMV, and other suitable disclaimers. If you just want to use Ardour on Windows, it is now supported on Windows, so why not donate to the Ardour developers and get an official download? I’m currently toying with building Ardour for Windows via the Windows Subsystem for Linux on Windows 10, but a post on that is a bit far away.
