In Linux kernel, the documentation for CONFIG_NUMA says: Enable NUMA (Non Uniform Memory Access) support. he kernel will try to allocate memory used by a CPU on the local memory controller of the CPU and add some more NUMA awareness to the kernel. For 64-bit this is recommended if the system is Intel Core i7 (or later), AMD Opteron, or EM64T NUMA.

The i7-7700K has a base frequency of 4.2GHz with a boost frequency of 4.5GHz. This CPU has an 8MB SmartCache and the TDP on this 14nm CPU is 91 Watts.

Feb 08, 2009 · Are the new nehalem core i7 processors and x58 chipset mother boards supported in linux. I'm specially interested in i7 920, Asus P6T and Ubuntu 8.10. This information seems very hard to find! I am building a new workstation and cheapest nehalem architecture falls only 150 euros behind the best consumer budget core 2 duo alternative.
