Aug 23, 2007 · I also tried to cp into the /etc folder after changing the my-large.cnf file that exists in the support-files folder but it wouldn't let me. Another question: does cp'ing it replace the /etc/my.cnf file when you do that and if so, there are fewer options listed in the my-large.cnf vs the /etc/my.cnf file. What happens to all the other options?

[mysqld] skip-name-resolve=0 I have attempt to introduce errors by removing [mysqld] to see if file is called and I the system did show errors on restart which means the file is called.
