Oct 04, 2011 · It has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8600 CPU @ 2.4Ghz. with 4 GB RAM I have enabled all the VT stuff in the BIOS (and even disabled the “Trusted Execution” checkbox as per this link but have tried with it on too)

Nov 24, 2016 · This issue occurs if the VT option in the BIOS of the ESX server is not enabled. However, if the option has been enabled but you are still encountering the issue, check if the ESX is a standard machine that is on the hardware check list (HCL).

Jun 13, 2012 · "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution." The hosting server supports the "lm" flag in /proc/cpuinfo. But it seems that the "lm" CPU flag is not available within the virtual machine, also the machine is marked with 64-bit. I think RedHat Enterprise EM64T should work inside a virtual machine.

Jul 14, 2011 · If you do not have CD reader to install the full version of FreeNAS, you can extrac the file FreeNAS-i386-embedded.gz that must be the same img that you use ( if is not the same , perhaps this was the problem), simply rename it to FreeNAS-i386-embedded.img

May 28, 2009 · It's now enabled by default, VT-x/AMD-v capable or not. Both my systems aren't capable of it (laptop CPU does, but mainboard doesn't), and it's still enabled when I create a new VM. I already addressed this, that there should be a check when creating a VM and only enable it if the CPU really does support it.
