Aug 03, 2018 · # kldstat grep cpufreq 10 1 0xffffffff8163f000 6cc0 cpufreq.ko I worked through the handbook and manpages, searched elsewhere still being stuck to solve this. The question is, if there is some other power-management for this system or what is wrong with that setup.

The S3C24XX series support a number of power saving systems, such as the ability to change the core, memory and peripheral operating frequencies. The core control is exported via the CPUFreq driver which has a number of different manual or automatic controls over the rate the core is running at.

Enable support in your BIOS. Enter your BIOS and make sure Cool'n'Quiet (AMD) or SpeedStep (Intel) is enabled for you CPU. Some BIOS's may not have an option for either. If you don't find the option it is probably enabled by default. ... sudo modprobe cpufreq_conservative cpufreq_ondemand cpufreq_powersave cpufreq_stats cpufreq_userspace freq_table

Since kpu is the rate obtained by dividing by pll1 and the current pll1 frequency is fixed at 400M, it is currently unable to support any frequency. Cpu theoretically supports arbitrary frequencies, but it will be biased according to the actual hardware. import cpufreq kpu_freqlist = cpufreq.get_kpu_supported_frequencies() 1.3. Parameters. no

Jul 10, 2019 · This amd_cpufreq driver exposes more knobs than what is supported by the existing Linux kernel's acpi_cppc driver. That existing kernel CPPC code has largely been focused on Arm's support for this functionality while it's great with Zen 2 there is now the support on the AMD front. Once this code is mainlined it should provide for interesting tests.

When choosing an appropriate CPUfreq driver, always choose acpi-cpufreq over p4-clockmod.While using the p4-clockmod driver reduces the clock frequency of a CPU, it does not reduce the voltage.acpi-cpufreq, on the other hand, reduces voltage along with CPU clock frequency, allowing less power consumption and heat output for each unit reduction in performance.

One of the most effective ways to reduce power consumption and heat output on your system is CPUfreq. CPUfreq — also referred to as CPU speed scaling — is the infrastructure in the Linux kernel that enables to scale the CPU frequency in order to save power.
