Nov 22, 2006 · Adprep success, DCPROMO fails I have asked this on other forums and wasn't able to find a solution so I am posting it here since everyone here has such a large wealth of knowledge. I currently have a 3 Windows 2000 Servers (SP4 on all current DC's) and I just purchased a new server which I installed 2003 x64 R2 on.

As it came preloaded from Dell, I did a reload on it, and everything went through smoothly. Not sure what caused it on the Dell factory image or if someone else has run into this, but fortunatly it was solved by simply doinga reload with the OEM server 08 disk.
