    Mar 16, 2011 · libdvdread uses cache directory tagging and stores information about played dvd in ~/.dvdcss. Maybe something is wrong there, due to the whole broken links mess. If the .dvdcss directory is still there, you might try to rename it (before completely removing it) and let libdvdread create a new one.

    Jul 18, 2011 · You need libdvdcss2 library which is used to read encrypted dvd's. That library isn't available in official debian repos. You can get it from www.debian-multimedia.org which is an unofficial repository.
