I tried using decoy totem with this support gem and found pretty useful. I know decoy totem is good but I have never used it before. I can place 3 arc 2 decoy totem which is offensive as well as defensive enough to carry me. The offensive skill choice is up to your taste.

Another thing is that taunted mobs (including bosses AFAIK) deal 10% less damage to everyone who isn't doing the taunting, and the effect lasts a while even if the totem dies.

Aug 24, 2012 · Decoy Totem is useful, I know I use it mainly for large packs, like the blood apes in Act 2 to pull some heat off my Marauder for a moment, so I can deal with them in reasonable numbers. lol It dies extremely fast at lower levels, even without it being packs like that. However, it does its job (imo) in buying some breathing room for my melee.
