May 23, 2012 · For a few years I have been having this problem of windows start up freezing. My computer is a XPS-720 from Dell. I had windows vista in it and when the windows start up screen came and the little blocks of color came up it would freeze up before the colors could go across the bar.

The Dell XPS 720 is a little hard to judge. One can't help but admire the effort Dell has put into its design and construction, yet by the same token, its a little awkward and the construction is excessive. It sure does look good though, so if you're after a machine that will be used for gaming, or even 3-D and video rendering applications, then it's worth considering.

Hello. Can anybody offer any advice for upgrading the GPU of an old Dell XPS 720 Quad Core 2.4Ghz Processor machine? Current config is running Windows 10 with 4GB DDR2 RAM (upgrading to 8GB 800Mhz soon) and having the SLI config for dual GTS 8600 cards which are still running strong.

May 19, 2018 · I've been reading a lot of horror stories about the Yoga 720 and a black bar issue. Beyond that, people are saying that Lenovo build quality usually isn't the best. Dell XPS has the latest gen Intel CPU, and the Vega GPU seems better than the 1050. The 4K screen is also supposedly one of the best in the market right now.
