They're already pre-set and are fully customizeable via ingame menus. The game was designed for absolute compatibility with a 360 controller. Just like vanilla DMC4, with a 360 controller plugged in, you would think you were playing the game on a Xbox that is hooked up to your monitor. Even the button icons change to that of a 360 controller.
