hi ya. income support is more aimed at single parents with children under the age of 7. if there are 2 parents that means at least one of them would be able to work so a couple would claim jobseekers. also i think as you are working depending on your earnings you may get a top up on your wages but your partner wont be able to claim job seekers.

They have two seperate claims forms (although you usually claim over the phone nowadays), but the information goes to two different sections of the DWP and the forms are different. It is the exact same amount of money and most of the rules are the very same.
