    Feb 25, 2008 · Hi, Thank you! I am getting ready to go for the Laminectomy / Discectomy surgery. I have the L4,L5 and S1 out with a fracture in the L5. I have to say, i am full of fear that i am beginning a life time of back surgeries and i am only 36. I couldn't work any more in June, it was too painful. I just had the surgery September 10th, but the issue is I think the pain I'm having now is more than what it was before the surgery.
