Dec 17, 2015 · Hello, i have the server HP Proliant DL380 G5 without a maintenance contract. I need to update firmware on my server, but i do not have access to the latest version of Proliant Support pack.

Can someone explain the difference between these service packs? If I have a Gen 8 server, do I need to install the 2017.04.0 service pack and THEN the new post production service pack specific to Gen 8? What do I need to install now for a Gen 9 or Gen 10 server? From what I understand, the 2017.07.1 service pack is only for gen 9 and gen 10.....
