Nov 02, 2009 · Hi, I've recently bought an iPod touch and was wondering if there is any possibility to play OGG-files on my iPod (i haven't tried flac yet)? I now I can convert my OGG-files to aac, but I'm very reluctant to convert my whole collection, as this is a conversion between two lossy formats with different codecs, resulting in an even more degraded quality :/

Mar 28, 2003 · Apple would support it for sure....if not for the fact that Ogg takes up ALOT of processing power. With the proliferation of "mp3" players there was the creation of "mp3" chips specifically designed to be just right for mp3 (and wma..it can use them) decoding.
