Any Network Storage device can be connected to the NETGEAR Router's Ethernet port. Just make sure that it is getting a valid IP address from our router so it will be visible from the network. Mapping or accessing the files from the NAS using a computer is beyond NETGEAR's support scope.

Re: Do NETGEAR home routers support SNMP? Not according to a quick and dirty search through an archive of manuals and stuff. "SNMP Disabled" is a common refrain. You will find support in some cable modems and Prosafe Wireless Access Points, such as the WNAP320.

I doubt it, Netgear's consumer products rarely do, but you could check, it will be under "Monitoring" if it does. Having said that - I don't think SNMP on the router will give you the detail you're looking for either - it will show you exactly what you're seeing now - how much traffic is passing through the interface, but not who is using it. Re: SNMP Community String for Nighthawk R7000. If you can find a hack into the firmware, you may be able to pull it off. Otherwise, look at a third party fw that supports SNMP. Good3rdPartyfw - I run my R7000 with this firmware in AP mode, but I think Xvortex firmware in router mode supports SNMP.
