Jan 12, 2009 · Best Answer: SLI is nvidia's technology for combining graphics cards, so they cant work as 1. two way means 2 graphics cards. Your motherboard also needs to support this. (ATI calls this crossfire). I think one GTX280 is more powerful then 2 9600GTs.
