Sep 26, 2017 · There's still very little VST3 support across all DAWs. I only cared when I owned a Motif XF and the VST editor wouldn't run in Live. Some users even had problems running it in any VST3 DAW other than Cubase.

Aug 02, 2016 · VST3 is one thing, but has Ableton ever explained why they consistently refuse to add support for 3rd party side-chaining? Instead, forcing us to use (IMO) tiresome workarounds? Fair enough they don't want to do it for whatever reason, but atleast have the courtesy to tell us why.

Jan 23, 2018 · Yup. With VST3 we would FINALLY be able to utilize sidechaining INSIDE 3rd party plugins the same way Ableton does for its stock plugins. No more of this "in order to sidechain a 3rd party plugin in Live create a separate audio track and route the audio..blah blah blah".
