1 Answer 1. A x64 native (AMD64 or Intel 64) processor is only mandated to support SSE and SSE2. SSE3 is supported by Intel Pentium 4 processors (“Prescott”), AMD Athlon 64 (“revision E”), AMD Phenom, and later processors. This means most, but not quite all, x64 capable CPUs should support SSE3.

Jun 08, 2016 · However I would like to update to Windows 10 but the the Windows 10 update utility says the processor does not support NX, SSE2 and PAE. I have used the Cmd prompt and set NX to always on but to no avail. My Asus mainboard bios does not have the setting to enable or disable these functions. Any help would be appreciated. With the CPU tab for CPU-Z selected I see the following: Instructions: MMX (+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, SSE4A, x86-64, AMD-V, AES, AVX, AVX2, FMA3, SHA You can run CPU-Z yourself to verify the supported Instructions for the Ryzen 3 1300X processor.Reviews: 1

If not, what is the cheapest AM3/AM3+ CPU (preferably over 3.5GHz and 6-core or better) that does, or is SSE4.1 only supported by Intel?
