Bluetooth HID: Ability to act as input device (like keyboard or mouse) over Bluetooth. Very convenient to remote-control a computer for presentations and likewise.

It is supposed to work with any app by emulating a HID keyboard. It also supports SPP, which I got to work with the various SPP bluetooth keyboard apps that exist out there. I seem to have exactly the problem that jlo80 mentions: My android version is 4.4, but it does not support HID.
