May 15, 2015 · If you install PhysX when you have a AMD graphics card the calculation is made on the cpu instead as i understand it. I remeber when I had a AMD card and enabled PhysX in games, those games that allowed to enable this setting even if you had a AMD gfx card, the game would run would run horribly slow like Alice: Madness Returns.

Batman: Arkham Origins won't allow you to enable the full advanced level of PhysX with an AMD graphics card present.... for your own good, as mentioned, it will kill your framerate running it on a CPU.

Aug 02, 2016 · But the CPU Physx support is crippled so it doesn't run very well. I had "lots of fun" finding this out with Borderlands the Pre-sequel. I ended up with Physx on High on my gaming PC (2x Radeon 280x) after it transferred the save from my notebook (with Nvidia graphics).

May 24, 2015 · Have u tried to install nvidia physX? It doesnt matter if u have an amd or nvidia card. PhysX is the only physic-engine in this game. Everyone has to use it in the normal mode (Hardware Accelerated PhysX = off) like Havoc in other games. But u have to install PhysX without the regular Nvidia graphic driver.

So Radeon does PhysX better than nVidia? FPS counter in top right; 4K maxed out + medium PhysX. Latest beta driver used. 980Ti drops frames similarly on lower PhysX setting.

Apr 19, 2009 · ATI supports Havok physics , Nvidia PhysX physics. If you have ATI card you can also add Nvidia 8000 series or higher GPU in a 2nd pci-e slot. Then you will also have PhysX support, but only in XP ( because vista does not support dual drivers ).
