Sep 13, 2009 · Does Uverse support this? I'm currently on Comcast and their box supports 480i HD. It's obviously not as nice as 720 or 1080, but still much better then standard definition.

Jul 18, 2010 · Nobody is broadcasting 1080p/60. So the bottom line is you won't miss not having 1080p/24 output from the U-verse box. Having said that, it is possible for them to add this in a future update for user that could use it. The bandwidth for 1080p/24 is actually less than the bandwidth required for 1080i/30, so there would be no constraints there.

It's 1080i max with no support for 1080p and the heavy IPTV compression makes fast moving scenes look very pixelated and boxy. Everyone here will tell you the same thing and that's to go with Directv. It supports 1080p and 4k, low compression, best picture you will find. U-verse is slowly being phased out.
