LLDP is not supported under 3550. You need 3560, 3750 or 2960 and support began with IOS 12.2(40)SE . Recommend to always check the Release Notes

The newer Firmware releases like 8.3(5) support this on 3rd generation phones like the 7941/7961/7945/7965/7975 etc but not on the older models. ... The trick there is with the phone -- for some reason so far as I know Cisco phones do not support a method other than CDP or LLDP/LLDP-MED to tell the phone what vlan is the voice vlan (ie a DHCP option like every other phone system i've worked with), so the latter option would require manual configuration of the phone.

That data sheet does not currently list LLDP (as LLDP) or IEEE 802.11AB as supported protocols in the product as it sits today.
