My neighbour, who only has an ADSL1 provision at present, achieved a 10% higher sync rate with his V2 than I get with ADSL2, but around the same as I get if I select ADSL1 on a DG834GT. Our attenuations are much the same as each other.

Nov 13, 2006 · I use DG834GT from 2 years and works fine.I have changed recently to ADSL2+ 20Mbits but the line dropout often.My Setup:- ADSL 20M/38kbps connection- DG834GT mo ... I dont think that it is fair that we have to put up with this as you are supposed to have full support for ADSL2+ and its clear that it cannot handle this affectively.

A 54mbit wireless connection will get you ~ 20mbit real throughput, you won't get that even if you are living next door to an ADSL2+ capable exchange. The only difference between the V1 and V2 of the DG834 is the colour and size. Look around the web to see internal shots of both units.
