From my research it appears that the DIR-628 does not seam to support WDS, and isn't even supported by tomato or dd-wrt. Unfortunately you may be out of luck.

Mar 04, 2016 · For now the signal will do but i will be looking into purchasing something that is meant to what I want instead of trying to turn apples into oranges. Just one more thing, the latest DIR 628 firmware upgrade causes constant resets and reboots.

In the main computer room I have a dsl modem going into a dir-615 which broadcasts the signal just fine. In the next room I have a computer with a usb wireless adapter that picks up the signal just fine.
