The device manager of Windows 10 shows two devices under "Sound, video and game controllers" - Intel Display Audio and Realtek High Definition Audio, but no errors.

Jan 03, 2014 · The best they do is a casual mention that DisplayPort is capable of carrying audio while most of them recommend using HDMI, which doesn't help my specific query at all. HDMI is the recommended method of attaching a Home Theater receiver as it supports a few technologies that DisplayPort does not such as remote control codes.

The video is fine, but sadly no audio goes through the displayport/hdmi cable. There's even no Displayport/HDMI sound device showing up on the playback devices list in the control panel even with the Show disabled/disconnected devices options turned on... Does anyone know a solution, I would highly appreciate if you would share it with me!
