ESRI is the standard for GIS systems. It would seem to me that if your database could be used by ESRI that you might get tens of thousands of new customers all over the world. I'm wondering if anyone else has probed exactly what is missing in MySQL that makes it inappropriate for use by ESRI.

Jul 05, 2017 · I've been kinda interested in doing this too. I have a bunch of MySQL databases on a rented Linux web server account. What I was able to do was get a MySQL table into ArcGIS 10 using MS Access as an intermediary. I have some MySQL connections defined with Administrative tools > Data Sources using the MySQL ODBC 5.1 driver.Reviews: 7
