Jan 27, 2010 · On an outbound call, it looks like my Eyebeam is using aLaw, and then it goes to Trix for the outbound call and then uses g729. Well, the fact that the call leg from your Trix to the VSP is using g729 is proof that the g729 codec install is working correctly :) aLaw is the only codec I have enabled in Eyebeam for now.

Jun 11, 2012 · That's why you don't have it with 3CX softphone, which is free. Try using some of the Counterpath's softphones (paid), which support G.729 if you really need it. 3CX is providing free alternative - the GSM codec for bandwidth sensitive connections. Regards
