Nov 11, 2003 · For Freelancer to be anything but annoying with a joystick the guns have to be fixed, non of this girly range of movement the guns have now, also it would help if turrets had the ability of auto-fire, like in XWA, hardly accurate, but certainly helps when you have to concentrate on dogfighting rather then aiming your single rear facing weapon.

Feb 05, 2005 · Well, I managed to get the program to recenter the cursor when in Windows but when that option (called absolute movement) is enabled and you try to play Freelancer the joystick doesn´t work at all (although the normal mouse still does). I´ve tried this with four different joy2mouse type programs and none of them work.

Sep 21, 2009 · quite a while ago I attempted a joystick setup, here goes- I used my Saitek joystick, left-handed setup with programmable software to issue roll/pitch/yaw from the arrow keys for R/P/Y assigned in freelancer tied into the Joysticks R/P/Y analog stick.

Apr 19, 2003 · I think its fair to say freelancer is like a FPS except theres no gravity. Thats all it is, when you shoot its like shooting in a FPS just following the little white rabbit with your crosshair. Joysticks are another matter seeing as how its much more difficult to tail and react to a live target.

Mar 08, 2005 · Microshit made sure to make implimenting a joystick as hard as possible. You have to heavily mod the game. I freely admit I am using a cracked copy of Freelancer. Why? Because I am not going to pay for shit. If I can get the joystick working properly, then I will buy the game.

Freelancer does indeed support multiplayer. Fortunately, there is CO-OP multiplayer, which allows players to fly within the same universe (exact limit as of the last showing of the game was 16, but not sure) and trade, fight, explore, and complete missions.

Nov 21, 2018 · Many of us older players (20-30) years of Flying, will not touch Battlefield V without a Joystick mode to suport Aerial Combat. So far after playing BF 1, it’s a good guess they don’t have the ability to figure out the programming to include joystick support. I love WWII war games, especially with air combat and air ground support.
