May 23, 2012 · Good afternoon, You may be confusing the fact that the GI bill benefits may not be garnished to pay for child support with whether that may be considered as income for the calculation of support. In other words, those funds may not be "attached" for support.

My son's dad was in the military when we got our child support established. Now, 4 years later, he's trying to lower his support. He gets $660.50 per semester, I believe, for school from the GI Bill.
