For every game with great Crossfire support, there are games with incredibly poor Crossfire support or none altogether. And going Crossfire currently doesn't make any sense. You can get a 1070 for $380-400 and 480 Crossfire for 25% more. In games where Crossfire is well supported, the 480s are going to perform 25% better.

Jul 14, 2010 · Crossfire/SLI. With the latest ATI driver (8-11 series) the game supports crossfire modes (ie. 4870x2) SLI is currently unsupported. Support will be added through a future game patch as well as an updated Nvidia driver.

Jun 07, 2009 · It does stutter a little bit though and it can be annoying. But GTA IV will only use one of my 4870x2 cards so I guess it does not support more than a dual graphics card configuration. Other games like lego batman and UT3 can use up to 99% of all 4 GPUs!
