^ Personally, I bought a PS3 controller from a friend for extremely low cost, and you simply download some drivers and it's good to go from the default gamepad layout within San Andreas. I've heard people use PS1/2 controllers with a $5 USB adapter, and "non" Xbox 360 controllers should work fine.

Sep 13, 2013 · There's a mod called San Andreas Advanced Control, but I think you need an unpatched version of the game (which also means you couldn't play in 1080p since the patch introduced that).
