Nvidia GTX 260 supports directx 11. I have downloaded GPU-Z to check specs more accurate for my video card NVIDIA GTX 260 and it says that it support directx 11. Note this is not the directX of the windows, not checking with dxdiag.

Game supports directx 11. I also saw that GTX 260 supports only directx 10. So gtx 260 is not supported im afraid. devs check here regulary so they have to change the faulty information.

Of course you have DX11, it's included in Win7. But just because you have it installed doesn't mean the card can actually use it. Ya all latest nvidia cards support direct x 10, no direct x 11 card. As jam said, u see direct x 11 because of win 7. Right now only ati has dx 11 support with their hd 5000 series.

On my game rig it will allow me to bench up to DirectX 10, but not 11. I know, GTX 260's aren't DirectX 11 compatible, but just for fun I thought I might try it to see what would happen and ..... nothing (as expected), it wouldn't even attempt to run the bench in DX 11.

I'm using an older GTX 260 on my Win 10 and it works perfectly with the EVGA Windows 10 drivers. The card should only support DirectX 10 but dxdiag says it's 11. I'll worry about it ...

None of Nvidia's current cards support DX11, their next-generation models will have it whenever they arrive (rumored to be a month or so away) The GTX 260 is still a nice card, just a bit overpriced.
