Apr 26, 2017 · The built-in FTP component from IIS 7.0 installation does not support both SSH File Transfer Protocol(SFTP) and FTP over SSL(FTPS). The new FTP 7.0 service (provided as a separate download) supports FTPS. Currrently SFTP is not supported by any Microsoft products.

Apr 19, 2011 · IIS7 does have SFTP, I can connect to it via Filezilla. I may be mis-understanding SFTP as I have read some wikipedia pages that have not made it any clearer. Can I ask, if I am using WinSCP, is the communication secure if the protocol is FTP or only if the protocol is SFTP.

Jul 09, 2013 · Does anyone know of native support for sftp? We have sites up right now that run that on linux. There is also the ftps solution that is native to iis/ftp. But is there a way of setting up a secure directory in iis7 (7.5?) that would allow someone to browse and transfer a file using https.
