May 19, 2016 · Hello. I just got my iPhone 5S about a week ago. Switching from Windows Phone so this is my first time on an iOS device. I'm having trouble however getting my phone to read my texts to me while connected to my car via Bluetooth. I have a Nissan Maxima 2007. I paired my iPhone with it but Siri doesn't read texts I receive. Does anyone know why?

Sep 03, 2013 · On the Ford I got the message "The currently connected phone does not support text messaging via bluetooth" when trying to access the messaging options. The Lumia 1020 connected to bluetooth affords me none of these options and doesn't even notify the bluetooth speaker or my car that I got a message.

Apr 18, 2015 · When she tries to use the text feature, she gets a screen with a yellow exclamation mark that says "the currently connected phone does not support text messaging via Bluetooth". Quote from her, "Had my daughter send me a text, went to the car and said listen to message and Siri replied “sorry texting is not allowed for this device”.
