Can't connect to wifi ipod touch 4 only when using WPA2. I recentrly upgraded my router to a MI424WR Rev I. Since then an iPod Touch 4 can't connect to the wifi. While this is occurring I can connect to the same wifi 2 ASUS laptops, 1 Samsung laptop, 1 Dell laptop, 1 iPad, 1 iPhone5, 1 iPhone 5c, 1 ipod touch 3, and 1 Android tablet.

May 12, 2010 · I'm having the same problem reported by many on that Apple Support thread. I cannot get my 2G iPod touch to connect to my DLink DIR-615 wireless router with WPA2 enabled. It connects instantly when I turn off wireless security, but I'm not doing that for more than a few moments.

Dec 17, 2009 · There is an issue with the firmware 2.1.1 and the new release of the Ipod touch. The conflict will not allow this release of the touch hardware to "join" or connect with a wpa or wpa2 network.

The choices are, Disabled, WPA Personal, WPA Enterprise, WPA2 Personal, WPA2 Enterprise, RADIUS and WEP. I've done research online and found that WPA or WPA2 is the best choice. And people say that WPA2 is more secure.
