Now this is an interesting thread, as I've never used a touchscreen laptop/convertible before (the only touchscreen I own is on my smartphone). Wonder how well/whether the tiling WMs would be able to use touchscreens well (can imagine something like easystroke helping in that regard).

I know they have a phone and tablet release also if nothing else supports it. The question really is more about drivers for specific touchscreens. I do not know how much variation there is in the touchscreen arena.

    Nov 15, 2019 · I am running 17.3 cinnamon from live dvd on hp touchsmart 520 desktop and it does not have the touch screen function. My hp laptop does. The laptop was updated from 17.2 cinnamon and is using the 3.16.0-38 kernel. The live dvd has the 3.19.0-3 kernel . I don't know if that is why one works and the other doesn't. rumpus
