Dec 12, 2017 · How does this work if there are no other operating systems on the Mac Pro? Doesn't EFI need to know that there's some sort of bootable OS present before it'll show up in the chooser? How can it know that the LSI MegaRAID contains a bootable OS before the CSM is loaded and the card BIOS launches (if in fact that actually works on a Mac Pro)?

Jul 23, 2011 · Does NOT support drives over 2TB! The Apple Pro RAID card uses a 32-bit word for block numbers. This limits disk size to 2³² 512-byte blocks, which is just under 2.2 T bytes. There is no update to software or firmware that will enable 48bit or 64bit addressing as of 2018.
