Jun 21, 2010 · I for one hate the Wiimote and wheel for mario kart,, I just cant do it. I know the classic controller works, and can be played as a normal mario kart with no motion etc. Can the cube controller still work? Do i just put the cube controllers in the cube controller port and will the wii read it? or do i have to have the wiimote on too?

Sep 09, 2015 · I'm using dolphin 3.0 and shake function is working fine when I play Mario Kart Wii. I'm using wired PS3 controller and I've configured button R2 for shake (X axis, range 100). But I noticed that the same configuration is no longer functioning on Dolphin 4.0. I've tried a lot of settings, but no success yet. On Dolphin 3.0 works perfectly fine.

Mario Kart Wii has four types of controls. Classic Controller, Wii Wheel, Gamecube Controller, and Wii Remote Nunchuk. Each controller has it's pros and cons. Not ALL the buttons are mapped out in the images, so I'll put something under them to further explain. To change controllers, go to the main menu and unplug/turn off your current controller and plug your new one in.
