Dec 18, 2012 · With XP + MDT (any version) you need to apply all your mass storage drivers pre-sysprep and then apply your NIC + Video + Sound drivers at deploy time. W7 allows for mass storage installation at deploy time, as does SCCM but as you're not using either of those so you do have to consider your drivers.

Hi I would like to use MDT 2012 to deploy Windows XP on our workstations. I have recently started this new job and our deployment server died. The system was not subject to back so i am having to re-build the server from scratch.

Feb 10, 2014 · Certainly can, just implement your MDT instance as you normally would (has to be MDT 2012 Update 1 or lower as MDT 2013 does not support Windows XP) with corporate wim, drivers, applications, packages etc then update your customsettings.ini to fully automate the answers that MDT requires.
