Dec 21, 2015 · Hi, thanks for replying. The reason I prefer MKV / MP4 over Blu-ray ISOs is that few players support Blu-ray menus. MPC-HC and mpv don't support them, whereas Kodi and VLC have very buggy support for HDMV IGS menus and none for BD-J menus.

Feb 15, 2013 · It's not possible. mp4/mkv/avi doesn't support any dvd menus. But you can rip to an iso. And play it with VLC media player and the menu will work.

Aug 06, 2017 · I really wish iTunes had the support for .mkv format. Not likely to happen as long as QT does not natively support either AC3 or the MKV file container. Since the content is already in H264/AC3, is there a simple way to make it playable by iTunes/ATV2? There are many flavors of H.264.

Aug 14, 2011 · Once you have ripped to MKV, the menus etc are lost forever. If you want menus back then you need to re-rip from the original BD disc. As to whether you need AnyDVDHD to use DVDFab, no you don't. I personally don't use DVDFab, I use AnyDVDHD. If I rip to BD Folders/ISO then AnyDVDHD does it all for you.

Aug 25, 2011 · Basically at this point in time Matroska container does not support menus. No container supports menus. Even if it did there is no software that supports playing back menus in mkv. The only way is to simply dump the decrypted disk to an iso file.

As Jonathan B mention in the thread "Help: dummy menu does not work" some of the information in the manual may be outdated.. So, do I need another programme to extract audios from a ".mkv"??
