Dec 31, 2017 · Visual Basic.NET support in Mono is relatively new. The Visual Basic runtime has been available for Mono for a while, and with the release of Mono 1.2.3, the Visual Basic support is complete. then what is the laziness about adding this feature to the visual basic ?

Mono does have VB.NET language support but the framework is somewhat different in places and I'd predict that as much of your work will be about the .NET framework as it is the core language. It might not be as it sounds like it's at a fairly elemental level (no offence intended!)

Oct 01, 2012 · The open source Mono Project page says it supports VB.NET to a point, yet the commercial version does not. I hope this helps you understand my situation a little better and why I'm pushing for VB.NET support in Xamarin, rather than killing myself trying to learn C#.
