Oct 28, 2014 · Office 2008 is compatible with both Lion and Mountain Lion, so it should work. Keep in mind that Microslurp no longer supports Office 2008 for Mac, so you might want to look at upgrading to Office 2011 for Mac.

Jul 28, 2013 · What version of Office do you have? Office 2008 or 2011 will work with Mountain Lion. Office 2004 will not work because it is a PowerPC application and PowerPC applications are not supported in Lion or Mountain Lion. Some Office alternatives. LibreOffice. OpenOffice. Office Alternatives - Free. I type too slow. 😝

Jul 01, 2012 · #3 Office 2008 installs just fine on Lion. I read about this too. But actually I did a clean install of Lion and installed Office 2008 from the cd and it worked just like usual. I haven't noticed any big bugs using office (mainly word and excel) yet.

Jul 31, 2012 · According to Roaringapps.com, only MS Office 2008 and 2011 are supported in Mountain Lion. If you are using a 2004 version of Entourage, Word, Powerpoint, etc, they won't won't run in Mountain Lion. Hopefully, the files are accessible though.
