    Tried turning off SMB sharing and then turning it back on but it did not work. I should mention that this is on Mountain Lion Server where the shares are located. The shares were created using the Server Manager in Snow Leopard and then upgraded to Mountain Lion Server. The server piece is quite different now so it may be a source of issue.

    Aug 27, 2012 · 32-bit mode will not be supported by Mountain Lion so they are likely not going to fix the SMB/AFP sharing issues. If you can't get into 64-bit mode you are, unfortunately, out of luck for shares and you should probably just go back to Lion as the GM of Mountain Lion wont work at all anyways.
