There is a very, very, very small number of video cards that support YPbPr over their 15-pin connectors. And I have yet to see a laptop with one. Also, VGA-to-HDMI will cost $100 because it actually has to encode the analog RGB VGA signal into a digital one before the HDMI device will understand it.

Now, I found a cable that does VGA to HDMI, but I need to know if it will work. I know, VGA is analog and HDMI is digital, but I know that some graphics cards can support digital output from the VGA plug.

@AlanSE - The important thing about that Amazon item is the NOTE: Your Video card must support digital signal output through VGA port function. I don't know of any video cards which support outputting VGA over pins of a HDMI connector, and a quick google search couldn't find any.
