Exchange 2007 will attempt to use TLS(SMTPs), if it can't then it will fall back to just SMTP (unencrypted). Just because someone have Exchange 2007, it does not mean it will support TLS (requires SSL) or that they've set it up correctly.

Aug 21, 2018 · Right-click the connector, and then click Properties. On the Advanced tab, click Outbound Security, and then select TLS Encryption. It's the very last part I am having trouble with, there is no advanced tab and I can't find anywhere to enable TLS on a send connector.
